An evening with Howard W Petch CBE. Speaking on “The Future isn't What It Used To Be”.


Howard is a member of a North Yorkshire farming family, who embarked on a career in Agricultural Education in Lancashire. He went on to be the Vice Principal of Warwickshire College of Agriculture, and then the Principal
of Bishop Burton College. He led the formation of Landex, becoming its Chief Executive. For his services to Agricultural Education he was awarded the OBE.

He is actively involved in Leadership Development and is Yorkshire Chairman of the charity “Farming Communitv Network“ In 2003 he received the CBE. He has retired from being a JP, but is still an active member of his local church. He climbed Kilimanjaro in 2012. and did the Incas Trail in 2013 , raising over £25,000 for Compassion UK “.

This is a joint fund-raiser for the Friends of Harrogate Hospital and Friends of Ripon Hospital. Howard Petch will be joined by Terry Robinson, a British Lung Foundation Specialist Respiratory Nurse, who will be demonstrating the Nitrous Oxide Diagnostic Device which is an important step forward in the correct diagnosis and treatment of asthma. It is hoped that this event will make it possible to acquire this equipment, which cannot be provided by the NHS, for the benefit of patients in the Yorkshire area.
